    This product adopts the highest international level of time domain reflectometry (TDR technology, automatic distance judgment of fault waveform, simple and clear, convenient and pleasant to use. The whole machine is designed with industrial black safety protection box, with protection grade IP67, small and exquisite, easy to carry. The man-machine interface is friendly, even if non-professional personnel operate, they can still be familiar with and use it quickly, and complete the cable fault test efficiently and accurately.

    2. working principle

    This product uses the principle of time domain reflection (TDR), that is, an electric pulse is emitted to the cable, and the electric pulse will be transmitted at a uniform speed in the cable. When the cable impedance changes (fault point), the electric pulse will be reflected. The ranging host displays the change of the transmission and reflection of the electrical pulse in the form of time domain through the LCD screen, and the fault distance can be directly interpreted through the waveform on the screen.

  • Introduction to the operation of the test method

      1. Low-voltage pulse method to test the cable disconnection and short-circuit fault distance

    1) Wiring:

    First connect the double-clamp test line to the "signal" port, then clamp the red clamp of the test line to one fault phase of the faulty cable, and the black clamp to the other fault phase of the faulty cable. Low voltage pulse method connection diagram

    2) Boot:

    Press the switch key, the screen will display the boot interface; Touch the LCD screen to enter the test interface. At this time, the default test mode of the system is "low voltage pulse method", pulse width "0.2 μs", cable type "cross-linked ethylene" and accuracy "2m". Then adjust the default items to be suitable for this test according to the tested electrical insulation material, length and other factors.

    3) Sampling:

    Click the "sample" button, the instrument sends out a test pulse and automatically triggers to capture the reflected pulse. At this time, the interface will display the cable break and short circuit waveform as shown below. If the amplitude and position of the waveform are not suitable, the operator can adjust the "displacement" or "amplitude", and then resample and refresh until the operator thinks that the amplitude and position of the echo are suitable for analysis and positioning.

    4) Interpretation:

    The interpretation of low-voltage pulse wave is relatively easy, as long as the cursor is positioned to the starting point of the transmitted wave and the reflected wave respectively (see the basic theory of waveform analysis for details), and the cursor is operated by the left shift key or the right shift key.
