A normally operating transformer core is grounded at a single point. If there are two or more grounding points simultaneously, a current loop will form between the core and the ground, with maximum currents reaching several tens of amperes, which can cause local overheating or even burning of the core. This instrument can quickly detect latent faults in transformers and is a key tool for ensuring the safe operation and normal maintenance of transformers.
