Oil immersed test transformer (hereinafter referred to as the test transformer), also known as booster, it is the power station, power supply and distribution system and scientific research units and other users of the basic test equipment. It is used to test the insulation strength of various electrical products, electrical equipment, insulation materials, etc. under the specified voltage, assess the insulation level of the product, find the insulation defects of the tested product, and measure the ability to withstand overvoltage.
1. Overview:
Oil immersed test transformer (hereinafter referred to as the test transformer), also known as booster, it is the power station, power supply and distribution system and scientific research units and other users of the basic test equipment. It is used to test the insulation strength of various electrical products, electrical equipment, insulation materials, etc. under the specified voltage, assess the insulation level of the product, find the insulation defects of the tested product, and measure the ability to withstand overvoltage.
2. structure
AC type test transformer, AC and DC dual-purpose light high-voltage test transformer is made of high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet. The coil is a concentric pagoda-shaped multi-layer cylinder, with low-voltage coils inside and high-voltage coils outside; the shell is portable, with the advantages of small size, light weight, beautiful appearance, and convenient movement.
3. working principle
The power frequency 220V (380V above 10KVA) power supply is connected to the control box (set) (for supporting equipment of the test transformer, please refer to the instruction manual of the control box (set) for details), and the voltage of 0-220V/380V adjusted by the self-coupling voltage regulator is input to the primary winding of the test transformer. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the voltage amplitude of the same multiple-power frequency high voltage-is obtained in the secondary (high voltage) winding according to its ratio to the number of turns of the primary winding. This power frequency high voltage can be obtained by high-voltage silicon stack rectification and capacitor filtering, and the amplitude is twice the effective value of the power frequency high voltage.
This series of products are divided into three categories: AC type, AC and DC dual-purpose type, at the same time can be connected with a 200V tap into a series test transformer.

1. AC (power frequency) withstand voltage test wiring diagram

Note: When doing AC withstand voltage test, either AC test transformer or AC/DC test transformer can be used. However, when using AC and DC to do AC withstand voltage test, it is not necessary to pull out the short-circuit rod on the high-voltage column.
2. DC leakage and DC withstand voltage test wiring diagram

Description:
2.1 When doing DC leakage and DC withstand voltage test, only AC and DC test transformer can be used, and the short-circuit rod on the high-voltage column must be pulled out during use.
2.2 do cable withstand voltage does not need another and capacitor, available voltage divider, voltage divider more intuitive, accurate readout of high voltage voltage value.
When 2.3 do DC leakage, the micro-ammeter can directly read out the DC leakage value.
After 2.4 the DC leakage, the DC withstand voltage test can be carried out directly without removing the wire.
2.5 The capacitor shall be added during the lightning arrester test.
3. Wiring of series excitation combination test transformer
3.1 AC series high voltage test transformer, several test transformers can be formed by appropriate combination of extremely high voltage test transformers. The principle is to wind the excitation winding in the high-voltage winding of the test transformer, and the winding has the same parameters as the primary coil of the next test transformer.

3. Schematic Diagram of Series Connection of Three Test Transformers

Description:
The control box (set) supplies the power supply for the primary winding of the first-stage test transformer. The tail end of the first-stage high-voltage winding is grounded to the shell, and the head end is connected to the high-voltage tail end of the second-stage test transformer and the shell. The excitation power supply of the second stage low voltage winding is supplied by the first stage series tap. Similarly, the third stage can be superimposed, then the output voltage of the third stage test transformer is the sum of the three test transformer voltages, I .e. u total = u1 + u2 + u3, and the capacity of the three test transformer meets the relation s total = s3 × 3.
3.4 can form a DC series excitation test transformer, only the silicon stack with 2u is added to the test transformer with the highest voltage after AC series excitation.
Note:
1. The test transformer shall be used together with the control box (Taiwan). For how to use the control box (Taiwan), please refer to the Operation Manual of the Control Box (Taiwan).
2. DC test application of shielded wire, in order to eliminate stray leakage. After the test, the stored charge shall be discharged with a discharge rod.
3. The grounding wire at the end of the high-voltage filter capacitor and the protective grounding wire (control box shell) should be reliably grounded.
4. The high-voltage test site should comply with the high-voltage test operating procedures, pay attention to equipment and personal safety.
